A Second

In the split of a second so  much happens that changes who we are and the destiny that is pre-destined for us. Sometimes the effects are so miniscule we miss them out altogether. Sometimes you smile at a stranger as they pass you by, or at times we falter. In that minute  speck of time, you make friends who might change your destiny! That moment they probably needed that reassurance of someone who doesn’t know them, who wont judge them or be critical. So many individuals, we spend time focusing on who we are but we forget the people who did a  bit to contribute to who we are. Often I wonder, what could have happened if that moment never existed?I put a measure on my accomplishments, thus not on the physical wealth I have amassed but on how many lives I have changed. I strive everyday to stand out and be someone’s special second. It doesn’t matter if our paths never cross again but as long as I have even a vague image of you I will measure myself on that.

My measuring stick is the glory of my Father, to be complete in giving, loving and forgiving.

As you grow older look at where you are. As for me I have a vision to seize every bit of time and touch someones life. I have matured in the knowledge that this is who God meant me to be.

I therefore want to thank you for being my special second and I will cherish you like the first snowflake that disappears with the break of sun. The Lord above brought you into my life for a reason. Some I know and others I don’t, but either way you occupy a special second in my life. I need you to survive, so I pray for you and you pray for me
