Acts 3:8 (KJV ) “And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”
Several things in this story. It is a loaded story with many lessons that our generation needs to consider.
God still heals
He has never lost his ability or power to heal. He is God and he does not change, according to the word declared by the prophet Malachi.
The man was healed in the name of Jesus
Acts 3:6 (KJV) “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
There is still power in that name to heal.
You can only give from what you have. Silver and Gold have we none.
Acts 3:6 (KJV) “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
He praised God for his healing
He did not run to tweet, to update his status on Facebook or do a scope, he went into the house of God. Something that his condition would not allow him to do. He was at the gate but could never enter in.
So this was more than just a physical healing. It made provision and gave him the ability not to stay at the gate but to enter in to the house of God.
He could no stand
Acts 3:7 (KJV) “And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”
He could not walk
Acts 3:6 (KJV) “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.”
Changed his name
He was known by his condition but now everything has changed. It’s now the one was healed. He is the one who used to be lame but the got healed
The minister did not claim to be the healer
Acts 3:12 (KJV) “And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?”
Makes the weak strong
Acts 3:16 KJV) “And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
