Men of privilege and power stepping on the down trodden accusing them of laziness and unwillingness to work. The underprivileged used as pawns in the game of thrones. Crumbs thrown down to buy votes from tables of vanity. Slogans and cliches spawned to incarcerate the simple minded in the prisons of despair.
The down trodden cry and tremble, listen!!! listen!!! help!!! but greed and lust for power present better propositions. These cries muted, to lust and greed they hearken, yet to the poor, sickly and dying they bring false compassion, sympathy and empathy.
So drunk with privilege and power never to see beyond their lust. Thieves clothed in false humility, compassionate in words but murderous in heart and intent. Empty promises woven in darkness of hearts and corridors of power to ensnare the oppressed in cycles of false hope.
Elect us It will get better. Rhetoric alters a vote but a vote not the heart of lustful greed.
Bled dry with false promises, and envisioned new realities, clothed in mirages of advancement better working conditions and “fair” wages
Beasts of burden muzzled by unjust laws, bridled by invented misfortune, and ridden by false hope penned into castes – poor, middle and lower class – Intransigent loyalty to stables – democrats, republicans, conservatives, liberals, libertarians, right wing, left wing – deemed sufficient a recompense.
Lives of the downtrodden are gambled, sacrificing generations on the altars of ego and narcissism. Indulging in name calling and labeling, sowing division, hatred and discord amongst those who blindly follow.
To the ecclesia the downtrodden cry- lament against these atrocities. Preoccupied with eternity -a perpetuity of nonprofit status – a blind eye they turn. Jeremiah’s mantle holy men desire – but their silence advocates otherwise
Amongst the inconvenienced ecclesia arises a calculated disgust, a veiled arrogance – least we are better. The agents of the divine adorned in pageantry mindful only of their bellies never grieving for those that have none.
I digress it’s time for the institution that has the power of change to rise up . After all the Truth says…If my people who are called by name….
Hear the call!!! pick up a lamentation that righteousness and justice may be established once again.
