James said to us that faith without works is dead, Isaiah exhorts us to wait on God and the Psalmist says that we should patiently wait on God. But what exactly does it mean to patiently wait on God. Waiting on God is not a passive waiting but it is an active, expectant waiting. It is a waiting that is filled with great spiritual disciplines such as worship, praise, thanksgiving and prayer among other things. We contend that waiting on God is one of the great works of faith. Through this prayer we believe that you will be blessed and empowered to wait on the Lord.
Isaiah 40:30-31 (NKJV) “30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”
James 2:20 (NKJV) “But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”
Psalm 37:7-8 (NKJV) “7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.”
Psalm 104:27 (NKJV) “These all wait for You, That You may give them their food in due season.”
As you are waiting on God he is working things on your behalf
Remember
Wait on God I say! Wait on God
Worship Him as you wait on Him
