You and I will do well to believe his report

Isaiah prophesied almost seven hundred years before Jesus was born. The word he spoke was not a speculation or a hopeful word. Isaiah spoke his word as a historian would about events that occurred in his presence or in the past. He was giving a historical account of future events. Isaiah's question to our generation is astonishing as well, he was not asking about "who will", as looking into the future but "who has", a past report. My pastor puts it this way, "Isaiah was writing today's headlines for our generation." You and I will do well to believe his report, as we live years after this prophecy was fulfilled.
