There is no question that intercession is important in the kingdom of God. We have been called to pray for others, but at times we get in the way – our personal needs sometimes hinder us from praying for others. In this prayer/ teaching we explorer the idea of getting into a place where you carry the needs of others before God even though you have your own needs. Doing so without allowing your needs to become first before the needs of the ones that you are praying for.
The place of the perfection of your intercession

  • Will you be able to pickup a lamentation for another with purity of intentions even when everything else around you is breaking
  • Will you be able to pray for a financial breakthrough in their business and deals even when you are personally in a financial crisis
  • Joseph carried a dream for over 13 years, and yet he saw others dream come to pass and was still able to operate in his gift without compromising it.
  • Jesus interceded for those that where crucifying him – Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing
  • He did not come down from the cross – because the love of the father and for his brethren was so strong – this is what it took for them to be reconciled

Luke 4:23 (NKJV) “He said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’”

Ezekiel 22:30‭-‬31 (NKJV) “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.”

Psalms 105:16‭-‬22 (NKJV) “Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. He sent a man before them— Joseph— who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him. The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. He made him Lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.”

Genesis 37:5‭-‬7 (NKJV) “Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”

Genesis 37:9‭-‬11 (NKJV) “Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.” So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?” And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.”
