Fathers & Sons

God is a God of generations

From one generation to another He will always be God. His Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. The reach of His dominion(government) is from generation to generation and of its increase there shall be no end (Isaiah 9:6-7).  Succeeding generations ought to see a greater kingdom or a greater manifestation (demonstration) of the kingdom than the preceding generations.  A generation cannot afford the  ignorance of   thinking it knows the exact nature of the  manifestation of the kingdom in the coming generations.

David desired and he brought the government (Ark of the Covenant) back to Israel after it had been captured by the Philistines during Eli reign as the high priest, yet Solomon is the one that built God a permanent dwelling place.  Solomon had more wisdom than his father yet the throne was forever known as the throne of David.  The exploits of Solomon brought glory to the  throne of David because it was forever established as throne of David.  What the sons accomplish in their lifetime brings glory to the fathers. God the father established the heavens and it is His sons who rules. This is a perfect picture to us of God’s intention regarding the father/son relationship. Sons do what they see fathers do so fathers should be careful not to lead the sons along the wrong path.

Fathers

  • open/close doors of blessing or curses for generations after.
  • obtain promises
  • ensure the transfer of godly legacy
  • must make their heart known
  • must show themselves worthy of submission
  • must be aligned with God
  • should provide (finance) for the vision
  • ensure that mantels are transferred to the next generation
  • etc

Sons

  • See the manifestation of the promises
  • see the manifestation of the vision given to their fathers
  • must catch the spirit of the fathers (Elisha if you see me when I am taken)
  • must be willing submit and be trained by the fathers
  • should be alignment with God and their fathers (if fathers are in alignment with God it will be easy for the sons to come into alignment with God
  • etc

The world needs fathers. Absent fathers in the world are a physical manifestation of what has been the status in the real of the spirit but God is changing the tide and order is coming. he is raising up fathers not in name only but in deed and responsibility. Its now time for reconciliation. The hearts of the fathers are being turned to the sons and the hearts of the sons are being turned to the fathers. The words Malachi prophesied are literally being fulfilled in our life time.

Fathers should not be jealous of their sons, they should rejoice in their accomplishments. The sons should not be envious of their fathers. Jealousy and envy have given room to the spirit of witchcraft resulting in fathers killing their sons and sons being in competition with their fathers. Dreams and visions have been corrupted  and aborted because of the friction that has resulted. Absenteeism and quashed dreams abound because they do not want to see them do greater than their generation. Please be reminded that the glory of a generation is going to come from the fruit that the generation has produced. Concerning the same thought we have seen a great number of fathers dying before their sons come into their fullness resulting in the improper transference of inheritances. The immaturity of the sons has also resulted in the squandering of  inheritances.

We must understand that each spiritual gift has its own time. i.e the person carrying the gift will eventually die but the gift and the anointing they will not take into heaven. Should I echo this point again!!! Since its my article  I will say it again, “your fine anointed self is not required to serve in heaven, but you are called to serve in the earth.”  The context of your spiritual gift is the earth and not heaven. Shocking isn’t it.

Before you go

  • ensure that your gift has served its purpose during its context in the earth (David served his generation and laid with his fathers).
  • ensure that your gifts and callings are transferred, (Elijah do what you must do so that Elisha can receive the double portion).
