We are fully persuaded that in every season, God raises a specific WORD to be a witness ! Our position, with the kingdom of God, in that season determines the side which we stand pertaining to this word. If we are standing in alignment with him and his word, this word will be a witness for us in the courts of heaven. However, if we are out of alignment, this word will stand as a witness against us in the same courts. This we must understand, witness tempering is not legal. When we are out of alignment we should not change this word to bring us into alignment but we are the ones that have to change.
Below is a word that we contend is being raised as a witness for ministers in this hour
Matthew 23:13-17 (NKJV) “ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obliged to perform it. ’ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctifies the gold?”
How do we bring ourselves into alignment! REPENTANCE! Unfortunately we have deemed ourselves righteous in our own eyes. As such, we do not see any need to repent. Once again we are fully persuaded of this truth, obtaining a title or ascending to an office is neither a mark of holiness nor of being in alignment. Obtaining a ministry position or title does not remove the need for repentance! This is a demonic doctrine that pushes you to attain and ascend without seeing the need for repentance. This actually borders on arrogance and pride. Telling God that we have created our own way to righteousness and alignment.
Here is the charge
- you are hypocrites
- you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men
- you do not allow those who are entering to go in
- you devour widows’ houses
- you pretend to make long prayers
- you proselyte to bring one into more condemnation
- you are blind and blind guides
- You believe that gold sanctifies the temple
- you honor gold more than the temple
When these things are happening then we are in trouble. Perhaps we should not say then we are in trouble because we are already in trouble.
Today, may we follow the pattern set out in 2 Chronicles 7:14 as ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we, as ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, lead the charge for repentance. By repenting the heavens are going to open. Repentance will come and the nation will be transformed. Let us not honor the gold more than that the kingdom that we serve. Perhaps we might do well to be reminded, gold is only pavement in heaven, so it is of a significantly low value compared to the value of the temple. Let us not make gold our temple but let the temple remain the most holy place in our lives.
