Consider a man who goes around the public sphere telling everyone that he loves this woman. Not only that, he confesses to be in a proper relationship with her. He speaks of the great times they spend together and of how much they mean to each other. He uses her name to get into places and to make money.
However, this woman has never met him. They have never spent time together.
Many of us declare our love for God with great words. We have told everyone how much we love God except the one whom we say we love. We have told the world that we spend so much time with God but we never do. We claim to know his presence because we have been in his presence, yet we have never been in his presence.
God knows we do not love him. We use his name in vain because we are in love with the room and profit it makes in the public sphere.
There is a day when this reality must be regarded. Demonstrate both to the world and to God that you truly love him.
How?
The only way those two requirements can be fully met is by Obeying his commandments. If you love me, then you will obey my commandments!
