We love words more than we love The WORD! Words and not THE WORD have shaped our opinions. Consistently we wrestle to alter THE WORD to fit our opinions (turning stones into bread). Having failed we elevate the words we love to being THE WORD, so we can prevail. (Turning stones into bread)
REMEMBER THIS ONE THING! MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD!
Luke 4:3 (NKJV) “And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.””
Why did Satan set this out as the first point of strategy at the temptation of Christ? Well, perhaps, it’s because he had to start somewhere or there was some other reason!
The fall of the first Adam might offer a clue. Satan probably did not get a chance to execute all his strategy as Adam and Eve yielded to the first test.
Satan was following a carefully laid out plan. A plan that had a precedence of success. It worked with the first Adam so why not run the same game on the Second Adam? Just a thought!
NEVER TURN STONES INTO BREAD
Luke 4:3 (NKJV) “And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.””
You HAVE to know the source of your IDENTITY. If Jesus had turned the stone into bread because Satan told him to. He would now be under the authority of satan. He would not be able to say ‘I do what my father says.’
Be careful NEVER to turn this stone into bread because you desire to prove your identity. Live by EVERY WORD from God. Because the WORD OF GOD will reveal your TRUE IDENTITY!

Hunger plays a significant role in this narrative! The first Adam failed when he allowed the whisperings of the enemy to create an artificial hunger in him. A hunger to be what he already was. From that hunger he acted and violated the word of God. Jesus – the Second Adam, could not start from a place that the first Adam started. So he had to be hungry when the enemy came! This was the state of humanity now.
NEVER LET THE ENEMY CAUSE YOU TO YIELD TO AN ARTIFICIAL HUNGER
AND WHATEVER YOU DO
NEVER TURN STONES INTO BREAD. IF YOU DO, YOU ARE IN TROUBLE
Satan asked Jesus to turn stones into bread. Interesting because Jesus is the bread of life! Well, I will just leave this one right there! Or just add this one thing, some idols are carved from rocks
